Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bangalore

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium: Is a must visit place for those who want to learn/explore science. Located on the T. Chowdaiah Road of Bangalore, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, is a popular tourist attraction. This is one of the most modern and one of its kind planetariums in India. It was founded by the Bangalore City Corporation in 1989. Later in 1992, the administration of the Planetarium was entrusted to the newly formed autonomous body, the Bangalore Association for Science Education (BASE).

The main objective of this planetarium is to provide awareness of Astronomy. This planetarium runs daily shows like Our Solar System, Dawn of the Space Age and Mars-The Red Planet in both Kannada and English languages. The Sky Theatre shown at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium are very popular and attractive, but there are other exciting setups in the planetarium. A Science Park is also being developed around the Planetarium. This place is very well maintained.
